Arrive Edinburgh

The Athens of the North

Land in Edinburgh and step into a city that looks carved rather than built. Your driver meets you airside. The Balmoral's clock has run three minutes fast since 1902 so that nobody misses a train from Waverley below, and it is the right place to begin. The evening is deliberately unhurried: a private tutored tasting among the rare bottles of the Explorers' Bothy at Johnnie Walker Princes Street, then a table at The Kitchin in Leith, where Tom Kitchin has held his Michelin star for twenty years.

Every journey is designed for the people taking it. This page shows one version of the trip: the route, the courses and the pace can all change to suit your group, and so will the price. The figure at the top is a guide based on a party of four in a recent season, not a quotation. Green fees, hotel rates and flight fares are set by the properties and operators and move with dates and availability; we confirm everything in writing before you commit to anything.

Not included: international flights to and from the first and last city, gratuities, and anything you decide on once you are there.
