The Cape & The Bush
South Africa
Great golf, time on safari, and room for both.
On South Africa
South Africa gives a golf journey more than one purpose. Cape Town and the Winelands for food and wine, the Garden Route for Fancourt and coastal rounds, then a few days in the bush with an experienced safari guide. Each part deserves its own time.
We build the route around your group, pairing the courses with a safari lodge that suits the way you want to travel. Flights and transfers are planned together, with space between rounds and game drives rather than a schedule that tries to fit everything into every day.
From the notebook
No two journeys share an itinerary. These are the places we return to, and the ones we send people to when they trust us.
- Fancourt, The LinksGeorgeGary Player's links-inspired course, with the Outeniqua Mountains behind it. Access is confirmed as part of the plan.
- Fancourt, MontaguGeorgeParkland golf that makes another night on the Garden Route an easy decision.
- Pinnacle PointMossel BayClifftop holes above the Indian Ocean, with time to take in the view.
- Leopard CreekMalelaneGolf beside the Crocodile River, close to Kruger. Subject to the club's access requirements and availability.
The courses depend on the route. The route depends on you.
Off the course
- On safariSeveral nights in a private game reserve, with early and late game drives led by local guides. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.
- The WinelandsStellenbosch and Franschhoek, with cellar visits and an unhurried lunch between them.
- The tableCape Town restaurants, seafood along the coast, and dinner back at the lodge after an afternoon in the bush.
- For the non-playersCape Town with a guide, the gardens at Kirstenbosch, and safari days shared by the whole group.
A week here, roughly
A week needs a choice: Cape Town and the Winelands with golf, or the Garden Route followed by a few nights on safari. To combine all three, allow ten to fourteen days. We choose the reserve and the order of travel around your dates, arrange the internal flights and transfers, and keep safari mornings free of tee times.
